I ride for adventure & exercise. Latest bike technology is wonderful & I'm highly satisfied w/the bike. A couple small gripes are that the disc brakes squeal - not sure if this means they're junk or just noisy. My major gripe is that the spoke tape inside rims is cheap and spoke-end pierced thru tape & punctured my tube, i.e. rear flat. I removed tape in both rims and installed (french looking) heavy-duty cloth tape sold at bike shops. I was shocked to find tons of metal chips inside rims underneath tape. Probably leftover from rim lacing procedure in factory. I carefully wire-brushed all spoke nipples in rims, then blew out w/compressed air (wear goggles!). I now expect my flat problems to be gone. I've seen other posts claiming the tires are junk but maybe the metal chips are the root cause of others' frequent flat tires.

I bought this bike to get back into riding, and fell in love with the sport all over again. This bike is a great value that can really take a beating. I want to upgrade to a dual suspension at this point but I will never get rid of this bike. Cant beat the price, and with what I have put it through it is a tank!

I bought the 2009 model July 2010 new from Bike King. I bought it based on the color, disc brakes, and the price! Ive ridden it 20 miles so far. I immediately changed the pedals as the stockers were plastic and too narrow for my feet. After that, I changed the grips. They werent thick enough and hurt my hands. Then off with the uncomfortable seat. Very minor upgrades for a bike that I really, really love to ride. Very solid performer for entry lvl riders. I give it 5 stars

This is a good starting bike for Me, after riding a Trek 800 sport for a year. the change is clear. I would like, it had a 27 or 24 speed and that they make it in 18 inch size, one inch can make a difference, i bought the 19in, and feels a litle heavy. Altough, I like it

Great bike. I ride a ton of different trails a new trails all the time. Every time I come across a new jump / rock / bump or turn, this bike handles it very well and I can trust it completely.

this bike will do the job but ull be bringing it in to have rims stratend. upgrades for this bike at lest back rim/spokes an forks something wit more than 80mm of travel i bottom the forks out every day i ride it im only 130 pounds but i go big an dont like using brakes so if ur gana ride on the side walk or use it for commuting it is a great bike for that other wise ull be spending more money to make ur bike better an from the start with the extra money u spend on upgrades u could have got a even better bike.

I'm 6'7" and 300 pounds! This bike can carry me with no problems! I have the 21" frame and could have gone with the 23" But I didn't want to wait! So far the only thing that I have switched out have been the saddle for a Bell Argo Memory Foam, and I'm switching out the peddles. I think that I have a custom color bike, It's Bright Green and I haven't seen any others like it. This is an overall GREAT BIKE!

This is a great bike! I'm a recreational biker and just went biking yesterday. Great bike for a city stree, hills and small single track park trails to explore. Very smooth ride, great shifting gears, light weigth. The only complaint I have is that the seat gets uncomfortable after long rides.

The perfect bike for me, it's been a long time since I last owned a bike and this one is a great fit. The guys at Eddy's did a great job reccomending it. My wife has ordered the Myka comp and can't wait to get it.Great brakes and just plain easy to ride the Hardrock Disc is a homerun!! Great job Specialized.
